Yoyo Au received a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics option from UBC in 2007. Yoyo then worked for one year developing operating system software for Symbian Inc.

Yoyo then enrolled in the Master of Engineering program at UBC in 2007. Completed in 2008, Yoyo’s master project focused improving the performance of a microwave based wood sensor. In addition, he completed the requirements for UBC’s sub-specialization in Engineering Management.

Following graduation, Yoyo commenced work at SEL, Inc. He is a lead mechanical engineer for SEL’s new product, SEL 8000 optical network multiplexer. In addition to the mechanical design of the product, Yoyo contributes to both the hardware and software development.

Yoyo plans to pursue both a degree in Law and a Masters of Business Administration to further his career and potential.
